The day started off with a nice back roads drive from Highway 95 to 85 (for once Lizzie did not lead us astray). Highway 85 is much more mellow than 95 with fewer trucks.
Then, we got onto highway 40 and traveled west across North Carolina. We are in the mountains at 2,000 ft. The scenery here reminds us of Quebec.
It is sunny now, but supposed to get down to 1C tonight. Tomorrow will be warm and sunny again.
