Oacoma SD

This morning, after signing James up for his UVic courses in the fall, we left Hart Ranch and started working our way east. We went through another time zone as South Dakota is split on zones.

We drove beside the SD Badlands - they look remarkably like the badlands of Alberta, and everywhere else we have seen the badlands.

The drive today was hot. After lunch we drove with all the windows open, including the one in the back. This, unfortunately, meant that Kody could stick his head into the cab of the truck and bark when we arrived at the campsite tonight. It was pretty loud.

We are back into the climate zone where they have places to go in the campsite "in case of weather". I think they don't like to say the "T" word out loud.
