Thunder showers were scheduled for today. No big deal, we thought. They are supposed to be finished during the night and tomorrow will be nice, so we'll just putter around the campsite.
Mid-afternoon the rain started, then the hail, then massive amounts of rain. James went to close the door and noticed a puddle on the floor. We mopped it up, and realized it wasn't coming from the door but from under the cabinets.
After searching and checking, it looked like it was coming from the hot water tank. Oh no, that was not good. Then, Paul realized it was actually coming from the hot water vent on the outside of the trailer. So, outside in the rain he went to silicone up the area. He got the leak stopped and we dried out.
After a while, it seemed to have stopped raining, and Paul went to take Kody for a walk. He got no more than 30 feet and the thunder and rain started again. We decided to eat out tonight rather than try to BBQ in this weather.
