Last night we visited with my friend Brian who moved here when he retired. He was showing us around his property and in the back was an old barn. Before we left I took a series of pictures. I hope it doesn't fall down before we come back so I can take some more pictures.
We did one of the hikes from the museum today. It was their 7 wonders of the BadLands hike. They explain the various layers in the valley. In the picture below you can see the pop corn rock which is volcanic ash. Above it you can see other layers of deposits. Later we went to one of the talks about how our understanding of dinosaurs has improved over the years.
We will move on tomorrow and the post will come from southern Alberta.
